Nathan Proctor
Hello,

I just wanted to write a simple thank you for taking the enormous time to put together and write the book. I am a young photographer (mostly self taught because the school I go to lacks funds and good teachers) who is right in between amateur and professional. I am doing and reading all I can to not only work on my photography so that it is at the level of a professional but also to learn what it takes besides photography skills to become a professional. Its very difficult to find a book out there to learn about professional level topics, that is both advanced and up to date. After reading your book and then reading it again and taking notes, my black and white skills very noticeably improved. I was getting much more detail out of my black and white work. I was paying much closer attention to tonality. So i express my dear thanks to you. I am sure it took a very long time. I will look forward to more work from you and checking back and reading more on this forum.

kindest regards,

Nathan,
Thank you for those very kind words. Make sure to check out the Companion Files section of the forum for audio interviews that were excerpted in the book.
