I notice that Museo Silver Rag is not supported by Cone's K6 inks using QTR. The inks dont adhere to the surface. What a shame because the paper is beautiful. I understand it was designed with the Epson 2400 K3 inks in mind. What's the difference... they are both pigment inks? Is it the carbon? Apparently the UT2 inks would work. They have a high carbon component don't they?
Thanks in advance!
BTW - What a godsend your book is. As useful for digital as the Adam's series and the Picker book were for wet chemistry!

Well, there are "pigment-based" inks, "pigmented" inks and many other variations that affect an ink's ability to work with a coating. Cone's inks have a relatively high pigment load and as you noted they do not work on gloss, satin, or the new fibre-based papers. Cone is working on a gloss-compatible inkset, but it's not ready for release yet. There's also a new Ilford baryta paper (Gold Fibre Silk). I just tried some recently and it's a nice surface, great for BW portraits, in particular.
Thanks for the kind words about the book.
